The Maroux Collection by Christiane Lemieux is a study in restraint-an exploration of proportion, material, and the soft diffusion of light. Drawing from the disciplined geometry of French 1930s lighting design, its lineage traces to Pierre Chareau's Maison de Verre and the sculptural rationalism of Michel Roux-Spitz, where architectural clarity met the intimacy of domestic scale. Here, light becomes spatial and deliberate. A vertical cylinder in opaline glass stands poised like a column of captured air, while the mount in burnished brass and aged iron creates a tactile interplay of glow and gravity. Dual-finished metalwork introduces warmth and weight, complementing the opaline shade's diffused, architectural illumination.
